Apothecary is a crafting profession to create consumable items such as Flasks, Potions, Philters, Tonics, and Vials in Rift europe, and all of these consumable items can give immediate, short-term and long-term benefits. Like many typical MMOs, there are potions that restore mana and health, increase stats or buff your resistance to various magics, while philters can be thrown at mobs to do damage or used to heal an entire party or raid. Their usefulness at end game, combined with the knowledge that these items are consumable, means that there will always be a strong market for these items and are therefore great for making some quick cash if you can gather the materials.
